Environmental Policy

Basic Management Policy on the Environment

For the development of a sustainable society, we recognize that environmental protection is the most important issue in management, and we will strive to preserve the global environment in our business activities.

Compliance with Environmental Laws and Regulations

We will comply with all domestic and international laws, regulations, and agreed agreements related to environmental conservation.

Reduction of Greenhouse Gas Emissions

We are committed to reducing our greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2040, taking into consideration for climate change mitigation and mitigation of climate change impacts. Reducing greenhouse gas emissions is a priority for our company, and we will contribute to the prevention of global warming through continuous efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Efficient Use of Global Resources

We understand the finite nature of resources and energy in our products and services, and promote their effective utilization. As part of our efforts to make effective use of global resources, we aim to resolve the following issues through our business

  1. effective utilization of global resources through material reduction and conversion to renewable materials
  2. promotion of plastic recycling and reduction of plastic usage
  3. reduction of water stress in water intake areas through water circulation systems at factories

Waste minimization

In all of our business activities, we strive to minimize waste in order to reduce environmental impact.

Environmental Education

We will disseminate this policy to all directors and employees and provide thorough environmental education.

Appointing an person responsible for issues in the Environmental Field

The General Manager of the Administration Division and the General Manager of the General Affairs Department are responsible for the entire Group. For each Group site, the Administration Division will ensure that the policy is thoroughly communicated to each plant via the GM (plant manager).
